On March 18th, a driver lost control of their vehicle and ran over our station at the corner of Curry Road and Northside Church Road in Laurens County. This caused significant damage to the station and loss of service to a number of customers while the damages were being repaired. Unfortunately this was during a cold snap and during the night. Service was restored around noon on the 19th with a temporary repair. The Authority would like to recognize its staff who performed admirably through the night to effect the repairs and have heat back to our customers as soon as possible. We would also like to recognize and thank the first responders of Laurens County who were on-site quickly and assisted in any way they could. This situation could have turned out much worse than it did and we are thankful that did not happen.
